About the artist:
Henk Oddens has been active as a visual artist for more than 50 years. After graduating from the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, Henk worked as an assistant to the city sculptor Hildo Krop, from whom he learned the craftsmanship of being an artist in practice. In the mid-1970s, Henk moved with his family to Eindhoven, where he continues to live and work to this day. In addition to commissioned work and his own artistic practice, Henk teaches sculpture from his studio in Eindhoven. Henk has built a strong reputation as a portrait artist, and many monuments and other sculptures by him can be found in public spaces, both in Brabant and North Holland.
