This well preserved example is a Fehlbaum production, which means pre-Vitra era. Fehlbaum was the founder of Vitra and started the production of design furniture of Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson for the continent of Europe. First licensed under strict Herman Miller (Americas) regulations and using their own name "Fehlbaum", later by founding today's Vitra and being one of the world's biggest manufacturers of design icons.
