Kokeshi "Buijn Samurai"
This large doll with exceptional looks and details is called 'Buijn' and shows a Samurai from the Muromachi era (14-16th century).
It is made with a darker wood to resemble the clay figures that were made in the past. Designed by Sansaku Sekiguchi in the 1980's, who has won the Japanese Prime Minister's Award.
