Ethnographic Object
A handcrafted ethnographic catapult used by the Baule tribe people of the Ivory Coast.
What used to be an everyday object has now grown into a beloved decorative item. A very subtle and detailed carved design. Fun fact: the catapults were often used for hunting on little animals such as fruit bats, a Baule tribe delicacy.
